"I was in Door county several times but it was the first time trying fish boil. Honestly, Door county trip without a fish boil is not complete. I arrived 40 minutes sooner and sat near the fire. There was a outdoor bar for purchasing beer and wine. They also have local wines which was very nice. Then the began and it was amazing watching the cooking process and hearing about the history. I booked a table outside and the view was excellent. I didn't have that much of expectations from the food given its simple recipe. But the fish was delicious in suprising way. The cherry pie was the best way to finish. The price for a plate was high but completely reasonable for the whole experience. The service was also flawless. I recommend reserve the sunset time."

"It’s okay. I had the postmaster breakfast & really enjoyed the toast & sausage. I didn’t see the fancy spice at the table until after I finished my fried eggs. Didn’t care for the hashbrowns or eggs. I prefer my eggs a little crispy & hashbrowns cooked in oil. We came back in the evening to try the fish boil. I wasn’t thrilled about returning, but heard it was “The Best” and my mom said that the fish boils she had were always good. You need the reservation because it's all made-to-order set up. You get to watch a pot boil. There’s bones in the fish — not a problem. We enjoyed the potatoes, onions & coleslaw (and I’m picky about my coleslaw). But we didn’t care for the fish. It was moist, but tasted like the lake. Maybe I just don’t like fish from Michigan, but my mom (who has had great fish boils) also didn't eat her fish."

"We had an amazing anniversary dinner here and the staff really “put out the red carpet” for us from the time that I called a month in advance and all the way through our dinner experience. We had the best table outside for the sunset fish boil. So very much appreciated!!!"
