Motel 57

"This was a great home base for our family trip to Door County. We weren't looking for a luxury resort because we knew we'd be out exploring the majority of our trip. It seems like some of the reviews were expecting the level of the B&Bs in Ephraim and yeah, this isn't that. But it's perfect if you're looking for a clean, practical place to lay your head. The rooms aren't huge, but they have a fully stocked kitchenette (hot plate, microwave, pots, pans, silverware, etc) which came in handy. The room was surprisingly quiet, given it's right on Hwy 42/57 heading into Sturgeon Bay. We heard zero road noise. Beds weren't luxury, but they were not uncomfortable at all. Water pressure in the shower was great and they have quite possibly the best water heater on earth because I like scalding hot showers and could only handle having the shower set halfway 😆 Everything DC has to offer was within an hour or less drive from here. It took us about 5ish minutes to get to downtown Sturgeon Bay, and an hour to get all the way to the Washington Island Ferry at the tip of the peninsula. Potawatomi SP is also only about 5 minutes, and Whitefish Dunes about 20. Staff was very kind and helpful, we couldn't get the TV to work and they came right over and fixed it for us. Housekeeping didn't come during our stay which was fine because we were hardly in the room to accumulate garbage, but if that's a concern for you, you might want to ask them at check in to send someone in. Overall, no complaints. This was the perfect, cute, reasonably priced home base for a Door County adventure, and I'd definitely recommend it."

"This is a very convenient location and the rooms are so clean. They come with a kitchenette so you can make your own breakfast or supper if you feel like it and try to save money instead of eating out everyday."

"On the south side of sturgeon bay. Nothing fancy but if you need a reasonable price this is a good place. Gas stations, target and information center right in this area. Good spot for a base camp in door county."
