"One of the quietest, most peaceful trails in DC. It looks like they are adding on a trail that is only marked with orange flag tape. Mostly wooded beside the new trail is more open field."

Kestrels, the smallest of raptors, 9-12",usually found in meadows, at treelines, and farmlands hunting for small mammals and birds. Declining populations, thus the kestrel boxes to encourage them. Height of migration now for those that migrate."

"Beautiful trails, marked fairly well but a good sense of balance is important because of the irregular terrain including roots and stones. Not too strenuous, but occasional steep hills. None of the trails are very long, 1.5 miles is the longest we found. I would recommend, if physically able."
