"We had such a fun and memorable experience at Door County Candle Company—it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. A group of six of us decided to do the custom candle-making experience together, and it was honestly the perfect activity. It gave us a chance to slow down, do something creative, and just enjoy time together in a really relaxed setting. From the start, the instructor was incredible. She was extremely detailed in her explanations, walking us through each step of the process so we felt confident and comfortable the whole time. What really stood out was her patience—she never rushed anyone, answered all of our questions, and made sure each person got exactly what they wanted out of the experience. You could tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that made it even more enjoyable for all of us. The candles themselves are soy-based, which I loved. It felt like a higher-quality, more thoughtful product, and it was fun getting to customize our own scents. Everyone in our group ended up with something a little different, which made it even more special. It wasn’t just an activity, it felt like we were creating something personal that we’ll actually use and remember the trip by. Beyond the candle-making, the store itself is worth visiting. They offer both regular and soy candles, so there’s something for everyone depending on your preference. We also ended up purchasing a couple of their custom glassware pieces, which were such a great find. The Door County and Wisconsin etchings were really cute and unique—perfect keepsakes or gifts. This was such a well-run, enjoyable experience from start to finish. It felt welcoming, creative, and just genuinely fun. I would highly recommend Door County Candle Company to anyone visiting the area, whether you’re going solo, with family, or as part of a group. We would absolutely do this again!"

"We LOVED our visit. We did the candle making and candle dipping, and Carol..i can't even put into words how fabulous she was. Our daughter is 8 and had no problems doing this class. Carol spent so much time having fun conversations with her and listening to alll the fun things that 8 year olds want to talk about. From 8-60 years old, our group loved this experience! the owners were also so kind. the variety of items in the shop are very unique too, some real Door county treasures! thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful morning. we will be back!"
