"I recently proposed to my now fiancé at Cave Point County Park. I contacted Matt about 2 months in advance with my overall ideas and goals. The tough part... I had never been to door county and neither had my fiancé or I had ever been to Door County. She is from WI and was her #1 place in WI to visit, that she hadn’t been able to do yet. With that being said, it was tough to try and plan a perfect proposal with neither of us knowing any beautiful or special areas to do this at. This was all a surprise to my fiancé, but with only having google to reference for beautiful places that would be special and represent us, it was super tough. After talking with Matt and sharing my thoughts, a little about us, and my overall goal he helped start by recommending areas to check out. I was able to drive up a week and a half before and Matt helped show me a few locations that may be good for the proposal, time of day, and time of year as well as helping pick out backup locations in case of rain. Matt was incredibly helpful and helped recommend a few possible areas based on things that I told him about myself and my fiancé. He truly hit the nail on the head with his recommendations. Proposal Day: Matt texted me updates on weather, wind coming off the lake, as well as how crowded it was. Matt arrived early and helped lure people away from our spot so that the pictures and moment could be as special as possible. After the surprise proposal, Matt and I were able to surprise her that he captured the moment. Matt then spent 45 minutes to take different photos of us throughout the park. Afterwards, we left for our hotel to get ready for dinner. Matt stated that he would have the proofs and digital copies to us before we left that weekend. To our surprise, he had them completed within ~3 hours and met us on our way to dinner so that we did not have to go out of our way one bit. Matt was an ABSOLUTE professional and provided the best service I have ever had. Thanks again and I would highly recommend Matt for any photography needs you may have!
